Cinco de Mayo (May 5th) coincides nicely with Golden Week in Japan, and there's no better way to celebrate than with great food, refreshing drinks, and good vibes at Shooters Sports Bar & Grill!

But what's Cinco de Mayo all about?

Contrary to popular belief, it's not Mexico's Independence Day. Cinco de Mayo commemorates the Battle of Puebla in 1862, when a small and outnumbered Mexican army achieved an unlikely victory over French forces.

While it's a minor holiday in Mexico, it's grown into a massive celebration in the U.S., especially in cities with large Mexican-American communities. Why? It's a day to honor Mexican culture, heritage, music, and - of course - food!
